» description emaciated sleek black female with dark brown eyes
» appearanceHer sleek black fur blends so neatly into the dark night, while the only thing visible is her dark, chocolate colored eyes almost as black as her fur. While some spots in her pelt are a lighter shade of black, but not quite gray, however mostly brown, the majority of her body is black. Black paw pads, black nose, black ears and even black whiskers. Her fur has been tinted to a chocolate brown in some places because of laying in the sun for too long, however. Abigail's fur is a medium length, while her tail is fluffy and protrudes upwards.
Her build is very small and skinny. She doesn't eat very much, and she can barely catch a mouse to save her life. Literally. Some cat, she is. She has large paws for her small frame, however. Her head is a round shape and perfectly matches her petite body. Abigail would be a very pretty she-cat if she wasn't completely covered in scars and burns, which we'll get to soon enough.. Her whiskers are long and thin, much like any other cats. While her body is already small and lightweight, it doesn't help her case when she rarely eats and is basically just skin and bones. When she moves there is no muscle, only her bones protruding out of her sides and ribcage almost completely visible. Abigail's fur has rough patches where there is practically no hair at all, and in other parts she has thick and matted fur.
While Abigail would be a very elegant, pretty female, her scars and burn marks like to think otherwise. You see, when she was younger in her kittypet years, she was tortured and abused by her master. She was made to fight other cats, and when she didn't obey, she was brutally beaten. It's tragedy of a story, really. Her most distinctive burn mark resembles a noose around her neck. However, it's from her master dipping her collar in gasoline and setting it on fire for a short period of time. Not enough to kill her, but to harm her severely. No one seems to think her fur will grow back completely in that spot, so she's stuck with it. Abigail has other various scars from getting attacked by dogs and other cats. If only those scars would go away..
» personalityWhile she has such a horrific past, Abigail could not be a sweeter, more caring cat. She cares for anything and everything, which only makes you wonder how she ended up in such a bad place. Before she was picked up off the street and moved to her abusive home, Abigail lived with her mother and her brother as street cats. They were doing fine alone, and she trusted everyone as a young cat should. That all changed when she was thrown into the car of her master. She thought she was being taken to a better place, and it was hell. Absolute hell. Now, she has trust issues. Abigail trusts absolutely no one but herself, and even if you think she trusts you, she's faking.
Because of her inability to trust anyone but herself, Abigail is scared of most anything that is bigger than her. Which if you think about it, is a lot of things. She is particularly afraid of humans, and, well, I think you'll understand why. When presented with a problem, Abigail would exceptionally have two options: to run, or to fight. The logical choice would be for her to fight, however her emaciated body would not stand a chance against something larger than her. So she chooses to be the coward and run. There are a lot of things out there that scare her, and even things she doesn't know exists.
Abigail doesn't trust others, but if you had the chance, you could trust this sweet, caring cat. She likes to help others and you could trust her with any secret. If she belonged to a clan, while she would not be a very skilled fighter, she would be a very loyal member.
Curiosity is a key point about Abigail. Because of what she has had done to her, she still remains to be a very curious kitten. Even when she isn't a kitten at all. Her curiosity with everything else that lies within the forests near where she lurks often leads her into more trouble than she bargained for. While she doesn't know about the clan cats, there are some things that lead her to believe that there are quite a lot of cats living near where she resides, which sparks her curiosity so much more.
» historyBorn a street cat, always a street cat, right? Wrong. Abigail was born by her mother and father with her brother. After her and her brother were born, Abigail's father left and it was just her, her brother, and her mother. They were stable and were doing fine without anything. However, when Abigail was picked up off the streets and taken away from her family, she was driven to a man's home. Immediately when they got there, she was thrown into a cage fit for a mouse, not a cat. Cramped and in what seemed like hell for her, she spent minutes, hours, days, months, in that cramped cage. The only time she was released from the cage, was to fight. Cats aren't very aggressive, and when expected to fight each other like dogs, they mind their own business and try to escape.
Abigail was not a fighting dog. She refused, yet she was yanked by her scruff and thrown at another cat who felt the same as her. This continued for hours, or days, she was never sure, before she was thrown around like a rag doll and it barely affected her anymore. Her master had enough. While Abigail did nothing, her master's fury grew stronger and he began to torture her. He was fascinated by the smell of kerosene that covered Abigail, and threw a match at her. After burning for a few seconds, minutes even, he would throw water on her to cease the fire just before it effected her enough to kill her. The master dragged her torture out for several months.
Quite possibly the worst thing he did to her that led up to her escaping his grips, was when he dipped her rope collar into a bucket of fuel and set it to fire on her neck. That is where she got her burn mark around her neck that resembles a noose. That's when Abigail cracked. She had enough abuse, torture, and wouldn't just sit there and give up the struggle anymore. Abigail's wits came to her and after the master threw the water on her to scorch the fires, she fell there limp and made it seem like she was dead. The master wasn't smart enough to actually check to see if she was breathing, and threw her out like an old half-eaten hot dog.
When the master was out of sight, Abigail took a run for it and despite her emaciated, limp body, she made it to the forest where she now resides. Alone, not seeking anyone else, afraid of everything, alone.
