♦ Name ♦Ternkit-Ternpaw- Terncall
♦ Gender ♦
She-cat
♦ Clan ♦
ShadowClan
♦ Rank ♦
Warrior
♦ Age ♦
16 moons
♦ Appearance ♦
Though she is young, Terncall is built fairly well. Strong through the shoulders and haunches, she is in no way dainty. She has powerful legs, though short. Her face is heart shaped, and thick through the cheeks. Her maw is narrow, pronouncing the shape of this she-cats head. The she-cats eyes are positioned perfect on her face, and accent her features well. They are a very soft, foamy green. They betray all her feelings, they are like a mirror into her mind, as well as her heart.
Terncalls strong body is dawned in a gorgeous dusty black and white coat. Her fur is long, and coarse, she doesn't cat to take care of it too well. Stretching up between her eyes, and over her maw. Her cheeks are mostly white, but only to just below her eyes. The she-cats chest is white, along with her belly. Her left front paw is white, and it stretches up to the joint. Her left back paw is white and the white breaks through the black of her coat to the base of her haunches. Terncall's tail is black, and fluffy.
♦ Personality ♦
Some say that the she-cat takes being a ShadowClanner a little too seriously. Sharp-tongued and quick as a whip, she can twist your words to suit her however way she sees fit. Tick her off and you're in for a wild ride until she calms down.
Terncall doesn't understand 'let it go'. It is not something she believes, not something that should be followed. No, if she has a problem with something you have done, she will let you know, but jumping down your throat and making a huge tirade of it.
However, Terncall isn't like that all the time. No, she is about 50/50. Half the time she is full blown ShadowClan and the other half of the time, she is a happy go lucky cat. But, her version of this is being loud, and obnoxious all the time. With a big mouth, she certainly deserved the suffix of 'Call'.
In the company of other Clans, Terncall turns stone cold, and does not converse with them. They aren't worth her time, and she does not think that they need to talk with her. She's ShadowClan, she is above all of them, and they need to realize it.
Not surprisingly, Terncall has a huge problem with authority. Being only 16 moons, she has the feeling that she knows everything there is to being a warrior and absolutely hates taking orders from the leader, deputy, or any other warrior who thinks they are above her.
♦ History ♦
"Ternkit." Black kitten, with white markings, it was the perfect name for the small kit. Her mother looked upon her happily, the last kitten born to the litter of four. Blackpelt, her father sat at the entrance to the den, withdrawn and showing no interest in his kits whatsoever. Meadowfrost looked up to her mate with sadness in her eyes. She knew he didn't care for his kittens; he had found another mate. He turned his gaze to hers and his ice blue eyes showed no warm for his former mate and mother of his kits. Tears swam in her pools of auburn and she looked away, as he walked away.
Meadowfrost gave each kitten a lick, and a nudge to her swollen tummy, so that they could suckle and become strong. Gazing down upon them, she felt a wave of sadness wash over her soft tabby coat. Two kittens had her pelt, one was completely black, and one was black with white markings, Ternkit. The medicine cat walked over with some calming herbs, and looked over the four kittens and announced happily that they were all very healthy kits. Meadowfrost whispered a quiet thank-you and tried to push the thought of Blackpelt from her mind. After a few moments, a purr erupted from her chest.
Ternkit soon proved to be very much like her father. Short tempered with a sharp tongue, sometimes Meadowfrost worried that she would lose her as well. But Ternkit loved her mom more than anything, and though she was young, she could tell that her mom was hurting a lot from the abandonment she felt. Unlike her siblings, she wanted nothing to do with her father. No matter how hard he tried to talk to her, she would ignore him.
On her sixth moon, she received her apprentice name and her mentor. Her mentor was not an exceptional warrior, but she knew her stuff well enough to teach the basics to Ternpaw. Luckily for Ternpaw, she was a natural fighter, and learned exceedingly well. She excelled in fighting; she saw it as a way to get out all the frustration and anger she felt. Hunting was a little more difficult for her because she was in no way graceful. Built heavily, but not bulky, she was not blessed with the grace needed to be a good hunter. However, failure was not an option for her so she works her butt off every time she goes hunting.
2 moons after her warrior ceremony, where she received her warrior name, at 15 moons, her mother pulled her aside and talked to her. By now, Meadowfrost had mostly moved on from Blackpelt, who was once again mate less. He had ditched that one too and rumor had it he was sneaking out at night though no one had solid enough proof to do something about it. Meadowfrost spoke to her about her father, how he was not a born Clan cat, and how it was her who convinced him to join the Clan. Terncall listened to her mother speak, her hatred for her father growing with each word. Blackpelt never truly loved her, she knew that much, and she held nothing against it. Terncall, wasn't so forgiving of the tom who called him her father.
A night later, the she-cat had trouble sleeping and heard a rustling in the nest beside her. Opening on pale green eye she looked to see her father raising to his paws and leaving once again. Sick of this, she followed after him. Despite her loathing of the tom cat, when she seen he meets up with an enemy cat, her heart sank and a sick feeling knotted up her stomach. Terncall waited quietly, her heart aching for her mother who had already watched her ex mate infatuated with another she. What Terncall witnessed disgusted her, made her ashamed to be his daughter, and at the moment she decided to finally share the first words with her father ever.
Confronting him sent every nerve in her body off. Her eyes darkened and for the first time, she completely lost her temper. "How dare you!? You're a traitor, and a liar. You are no better than a retched kitty-pet. You disgust me. I can't believe I am your kin, your blood ... your daughter . Do ShadowClan a favour and leave for good. No one wants you around, and I sure as hell don't want to have to be reminded of you every morning!" Terncall's growl rang through the silent night and Blackpelt stood there stunned and clearly hurt as he searched her eyes trying to find some warmth, but all he seen was the hatred, and disgust. "Go run off with your pathetic excuse for a she-cat and stay away from me and my mother! You are nothing to me Blackpelt."
Terncall, hasn't seen him in a moon. He left the Clan, saying he no longer considered ShadowClan home. Meadowfrost cried for him to stay, saying that she still loved him and would do anything to keep her around. Terncall stared at her mother in disbelief and a bit of disgust for her as well. Blackpelt looked at Meadowfrost quizzically, before excusing from the camp. Her siblings sat solemnly as he walked away. Terncall didn't stay to watch him leave.
She hasn't spoken to her mother since.
