Despite his name, Lionsong doesn't actually look like a lion. His prefix comes from when he was born, and seemed to have a big, fluffy mane like a lion. Of course, that went away, but the name stuck. And the 'song' comes from perhaps his personality; it ties it together. His colors might be similar to that of a lion, perhaps if they were combined.
Lionsong is simply an average-sized cat. He probably eats too much, for his stomach bulges slightly. His face, especially at the cheeks, is rounded, but ends in somewhat of a point at his chin. Large, round light amber eyes give Lionsong a rather young, naive appearance. He has short, velvety fur; evenly colored between an orange-tan and offwhite.

Lionsong, as a whole, doesn't really match his name. When you hear "Lionsong", something that comes to mind is a courageous cat who voices his opinion. This tom is rather laid-back and just likes to make other cats happy. He doesn't care about himself as an individual, rather as a part of ThunderClan, a Clan he must protect. Lionsong, though, is known to help anyone who needs it. Perhaps that is where the second part of his name, song, comes from--being protective and helpful.
One downfall Lionsong has is that he can't talk well. It's not that he doesn't know how...he just gets quite nervous, and tends to stutter. Because of that, he's quiet, and tends to show his emotions through facial expressions. Lionsong is very affectionate and caring. He's easy to get along with, and just as easy to take advantage of.

Lightfoot and Firetail had always been sweethearts. It was only a matter of time until they would have their first litter, but their warrior duties kept getting in the way. After a couple seasons, Lightfoot was finally expecting a litter. She and Firetail were ecstatic. Firetail was noticeably proud, and he talked about his soon-to-be children often.
They had three kits. Sunkit, named for his bright orange pelt. Squirrelkit, named for her large, bushy tail. And last, but definitely not least, Lionkit, named for the fluffy "mane" around his neck he was born with. Lightfoot and Firetail fell in love with the kits right away; they were the most beautiful creatures the two had set their eyes on. They appeared to be the perfect family, full of love and happiness. Sunkit, Squirrelkit, and Lionkit were always playing together while Lightfoot watched with motherly eyes. Firetail would always bring them their prey, and the kits would attack their father with joy.
Their sixth moon came, and with that, they were apprentices. There were a lot of apprentices that moon, and not enough warriors--Firetail ended up having Sunpaw as an apprentice. Lionpaw's mentor was Bramblefur, while Squirrelpaw's was Treeclaw. Bramblefur and Lionpaw were the perfect match; both were dedicated to their Clan. Treeclaw, Squirrelpaw's mentor, had a bit of trouble with the energetic apprentice, but eventually Treeclaw found an effective way to train. All apprentices were content, if not very happy, with their mentors.
When the three turned nine moons, something tragic happened. Firetail and Sunpaw were out training when they were suddenly attacked by a badger. They hadn't noticed, but they had ventured right over the badger's den, where two of her cubs were sleeping. The two had no chance with the angry, vicious badger. They were killed, and the badger ran off. Squirrelpaw was the one to discover them, during an assessment. Lionpaw can still remember the crazed, miserable look in her eyes when she ran into camp. He can also still remember the twisted, deformed way his family members lay on the ground.
Sunpaw was renamed Sunstripe before being buried; a last honor to the fallen apprentice. Firetail was honored for serving the Clan as long as he did. For a long time, Lionpaw, Squirrelpaw, and Lightfoot greatly mourned their death. But after a while, their sadness began to fade. They began to pick themselves up, though their original joyful family never fully recovered. The three ThunderClan cats never returned to how close they originally were, though they still cared for each other. Sunstripe and Firetail's death effected them in the worst way; it drove them apart.
Lionsong became a warrior at the late age of eighteen moons. It was because of their deaths; he hadn't been training as well as he could have. However, everyone seemed to understand. Lionsong began to help everyone out, doing everything he could to protect his Clanmates. He didn't want anything to happen to them as it did to his father and brother. Squirrelpaw delayed her warrior ceremony so she and Lionpaw could have their together--she still loved him.
Squirreltail and Lionsong grew closer together once again after their ceremony, though Lightfoot was almost left out of their relationship. Lightfoot didn't seem to mind; she's actually growing quite close to another tom.
