• DESCRIPTION: Blazepaw is an apprentice of ThunderClan. Having been adopted into the clan as a tiny kit, he has never known anything other than clan life in the forest. Still, he is driven hard to prove himself to ThunderClan. He may have a mysterious past but there is no cat more loyal to the warrior code than Blazepaw.
  
  
• APPEARANCE: Blazepaw has white fur with sparse patches of bright orange. His pelt is thick and long around his neck, face, and ears much like a lion's mane. He has very long, unruly white whiskers that tangle all about his broad muzzle and large, pointed ears. His dark pink nose is small and he has perfectly round, widely-spaced, copper gold eyes. While his eyes are small, for his size, they are his most striking feature.
  
  
• PERSONALITY: Blazepaw loves ThunderClan, ThunderClan's way of life, the warrior code, his apprentice training and everything else about being a cat of the clan. He knows he wasn't born into the clan and so Blazepaw constantly feels the need to prove himself three times as hard as any other apprentice, though the clan doesn't necessarily make him feel excluded or that he should have to work any harder. It's just that, underneath all of his confident bluster and bravado. Blazepaw hasn't got the best self-esteem. He can't get over the feeling that he is different and spends much of his time trying to show everyone how "ThunderClan" he really is. If he could just get over his insecurities, he might realize how much potential he has to be a truly great warrior.
  
  If his foster-brother, Sagepaw, has his way Blazepaw will never realize his full potential. Sagepaw is sleek silvery-grey with smooth fur, neat black whiskers and pale green eyes. He often teases Blazepaw about his wild whiskers, long fur, and mismatched orange splotches. Blazepaw laughs along but secretly wishes he was more like Sagepaw. He practically worships his older brother.
  
  When he is just being himself and not focusing on extra apprentice duties, trying to groom his unruly pelt, following Sagepaw around camp, practicing fighting techniques, or any other task that consumes the serious young apprentice Blazepaw can be quite playful. He is naturally a kind and accepting cat, though he is frequently torn between acceptance of every cat for who he or she is and the warrior code that says a cat should be loyal to his clan above all else.
  
  Blazepaw often wonders whether any other clan would have taken him in the way ThunderClan did. Sagepaw says they just felt sorry for him and he's lucky he wasn't found by another clan or he'd have been freshkill. He wonders if that's really true.
  
  Blazepaw prays to StarClan every night to make him strong and fierce.
  
  
• HISTORY: Blazepaw was found alone in the forest of ThunderClan before his eyes had opened. Whether he was abandoned or something else happened is unknown. There were stale scents of strange cats and fear around him when he was found but they were too old to yield much information. He didn't smell like any clan. The patrol who stumbled across him, mewling under an ancient holly, brought him back to camp. Fostered to a ThunderClan queen--Silverfur--who only had one kit to care for, Sagekit, he was given the name Blazekit and folded into ThunderClan as one of their own. While Sagepaw is almost exactly one moon older, he is the closest thing Blazepaw has to a littermate.
  
  A newly-made apprentice, Blazepaw is eager to prove that he is just as much a clan cat as any other 'paw in the forest and can't wait to become a full-fledged warrior so he can fight for ThunderClan. He, of course, intends to be the best, bravest, most loyal warrior ThunderClan has ever known. Blazepaw is still innocent and hasn't yet encountered the real trials of a warrior; those found not on the battlefield, but within his own heart.
